Developmental Milestones

Milestones:

Lifts head 45-90° in prone, maintains without bobbing; pushes up on forearms

Turns head toward sounds

Moves arms in wide arcs from shoulders; elbows flexed at rest, recoil into flexion when extended

Hands to mouth, brings hands to midline

Opens fists more often

Kicks rhythmically with reciprocal leg movements

Tracks toy side to side when laying on back; begins tracking with eyes up and down

Attempts to lift head in midline

Holds head at midline in when laying on back
Milestones:

Latches to breast or bottle effectively

Sucks and swallows with minimal liquid loss from sides of mouth

Establishes feeding routine with adequate weight gain

Coos, produces single vowel-like sounds

Smiles responsively at caregiver

Quiets when picked up

Makes eye contact with caregiver

Calms with rocking, soothing sounds, and touch

Enjoys different types of movement
