Climbs onto and down from furniture with assistance

Begins to run with improving balance

Stacks 2 blocks

Helps with dressing by pushing arms/legs through openings

Points with index finger to show interest or identify objects
Milestones:

Drinks from an open cup with minimal spilling

Self-feeds with fingers

Chews and swallows coarsely chopped foods

Eats a variety of soft textures
Milestones:

Uses 5–10 words by 15 months

Points to 1–2 body parts when named

Understands at least 50 words

Combines gestures with vocalizations

Shows interest in pictures in books

Points to familiar people or objects in pictures

Responds to yes/no questions with head shake or nod

Seeks comfort from familiar adults when upset
