Courtney Patrick, OTD, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Bio:
Courtney is the owner and occupational therapist at Launch Therapy Clinic, where she values working closely with families and other professionals to support each child’s growth and development. Courtney has advanced training in reflex integration and specialized education in tethered oral tissues (TOTs) and their effects on feeding and pediatric sleep disorders. She is also trained in myofunctional therapy, a specialized approach that addresses oral and facial muscle function. This therapy helps identify and treat the underlying causes of challenges with chewing, swallowing, tongue movement, and oral coordination, which can impact a child’s feeding, speech, and sleep patterns. She has completed advanced post-graduate training in pediatric feeding through Feed The Peds®.
She is passionate about seeking the root causes of challenges and exploring the “why” behind behaviors to guide meaningful, individualized intervention.
Education:
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, Belmont University, 2017; Bachelors of Psychology, Samford University, 2012
Outside the Office:
When not in the office, Courtney enjoys adventures with her husband and two kids. You will find her cheering on her boys from the bleachers with a book on child development or wellness tucked in her bag. When not on the sidelines she enjoys walking in nature and taste testing hot teas.
